Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.
The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those who are appointed to act as a first aider in their workplace. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide first aid in voluntary and community activities.
Over a 3 day period, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more.
First Aid at Work Annual Refresher
HSE guidelines state that employers should ensure their first aiders remain competent to perform their role. As such, it is strongly recommended that first aiders undertake annual refresher training to practise their skills and update their knowledge on the latest first aid procedures.
The First Aid at Work Annual Refresher qualification is specifically designed to allow qualified first aiders to update their first aid skills yearly, until requalification training is required.
Over a half day period, Learners will leave with a renewed confidence having had the opportunity to practise essential first aid procedures, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, wounds and bleeding, shock and more.

Level 2 Award in First Aid Essentials
Ideal for those who are able to access CQC (Care Quality Commission) funding, this regulated and nationally recognised qualification enables Learners to gain the skills and knowledge needed to administer safe, prompt, effective first aid in situations which can arise when providing care.
Designed to encompass the QA Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) as well as additional assessment criteria on Accident Reporting, Learners who successfully complete this qualification will gain two regulated qualifications.
The Level 2 Award in First Aid Essentials qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic first aid to people they are caring for when dealing with an emergency.

Forestry First Aid +F
This qualification has been designed to provide Learners with the knowledge and skills needed to deal with emergency first aid situations in a forestry/agricultural context.
The Forestry First Aid +F (QAR) qualification is ideal for those that work or intend to work in a forestry, agricultural or remote environment, such as tree surgeons and farmers.
This short, yet informative course provides Learners with the knowledge and practical competencies needed for the treatment of injuries and diseases that could occur whilst working in a forestry/agricultural specific environment. Topics covered are: extreme hot and cold temperatures, managing catastrophic bleeding, crush injuries and Lyme disease.
This qualification is intended to be delivered in conjunction with a regulated first aid qualification (minimum of 1 day) and will confirm the Learner’s abilities to meet a ‘licence to practice’ as determined by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the recommendations in the First Aid at Work – Forestry Commission Policy. Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Oxygen
This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the skills and knowledge needed to safely administer medical oxygen in an emergency.
The Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Oxygen has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility for the treatment and/or management of casualties who need administration of emergency medical oxygen. This qualification is suitable for first aiders operating in a high risk environment, community first responders, cabin/film crew, fire, police and other emergency services personnel.
While achievement of this qualification confirms Learners have met both the theoretical and practical requirements, this does not imply a ‘license to practice’ – the scope of practice will be determined by the organisation responsible for oxygen provision. This qualification does not allow a Learner to obtain, store or administer oxygen without clinical governance.
Successful Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed for the safe, prompt and effective use of administering oxygen in an emergency. Topics covered include: clinical need for oxygen therapy, oxygen delivery devices and administering emergency oxygen.
Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Medical Gases
This regulated and nationally recognised prehospital care qualification provides Learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding to deal with emergency care in a prehospital environment where delivery of medical gases may be required.
The Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Medical Gases has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility for providing treatment to patients who need medical gases administrating in prehospital care environments, such as: those working in the police force, fire service or private ambulance sector.
During this half course day, Learners will develop the necessary knowledge and skills needed for the safe, prompt and effective administration of emergency oxygen and analgesic agents. Level 2 Award for Community First Responders
This regulated and nationally recognised qualification has been specifically designed to provide Learners with the knowledge and skills needed to administer initial emergency care at life-threatening incidents prior to the arrival of further medical assistance.
The Level 2 Award for Community First Responders is ideal for those who are currently performing as, or aspiring to perform as, a community first responder.
Whilst achievement of this qualification confirms that Learners have met both the theoretical and practical requirements, this does not imply a ‘license to practice’ – the scope of practice for which will be determined by the organisation responsible for emergency first responders.

This regulated and nationally recognised qualification has been designed to provide Learners with the knowledge and skills needed to safely administer medication in a prehospital environment.
The Level 3 Award in the Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medication is intended for those who are employed by a Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered organisation that have a specific responsibility at work to be able to safely administer and monitor the effects of medication within their scope of practice.
Learners who wish to undertake the QA Level 3 Award in the Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medication (RQF) must be employed by a CQC registered organisation and have successfully completed the QA Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) or a QA recognised equivalent qualification.
Successful Learners will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to safely provide lifesaving medication at emergency or life-threatening incidents. Level 4 Award in Motorsport Emergency Response and Care

The Level 4 Award in Motorsport Emergency Response Care has been specifically designed for emergency care providers such as Medical Technicians, Ambulance Technicians, Paramedics, Nurses and Doctors, who provide emergency care at motorsport incidents.

First Aid Training
Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework requires all early years providers in England to have at least one person who has a current and full paediatric first aid certificate on the premises and available at all times when children are present. Providers should also take into account the number of children, staff and layout of the premises and increase their paediatric first aid provision accordingly to ensure that a paediatric first aider is available to respond to emergencies quickly.
The Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s EYFS Framework and is ideal for:
Those who have gained a level 2 and/or level 3 childcare qualification and have entered into early years setting and wish to be included in the staff to child ratios to comply with EYFS requirements.
